Product information "ACME Silent' Dog Whistle"
The ACME dog whistle is a finely manufactured, quality product that has been regularly imrpoved since its introduction in 1935. Although it produces frequencies not normally audible to the human ear - a dog hears them loud and clear. Thus, the dog can be given instructions and communicated with, without a great deal of fuss and noise. The frequency range of 5400 - 12800 hz can be adjusted easily by a simple screw action - lower frequencies for long range - higher for close work. The selected tones can fixed (when the dog has become familiar with them, or when working with several dogs). The whistle is audible up to 2 km depending on the weather and local conditions. It has a protective cap with chain and a ring for a neck band etc. (eg. our Nr. 740800). Brass. 90 x 9 mm. Approx. 30 g.
