Gerber Bushcraft Hatchet and Axe are designed for two essential needs, starting fires and building a shelter. The one-piece ax head with its innovative Overstrike Guard against damage guarantees a long service life, while the rubberized grip of the glass-fibre reinforced nylon ax handle offers additional security when handling the axe. A hammer surface on the back of the ax head is not all this tool has to offer: a waterproof compartment integrated into a pull-out handle accommodates 152 (Hatchet) or 274 cm (Axe) paracord as well as a compartment for a small lighter, a fire steel or kindling material.
