Widely used and not without reason. They are generally easy to operate, cooking is a clean affair and the heat output is good. A large number of appliances with various performance potentials and features allow you to customise them exactly to your needs. There are restrictions when transporting the cartridges, as they are not permitted on aeroplanes. The supply of suitable cartridges abroad must be clarified BEFORE the tour. Gas cookers are also rather unsuitable at very low sub-zero temperatures and/or at extreme altitudes - despite the special gas mixtures that are available.
