As one of the oldest Italian outdoor brands, Ferrino was founded in Turin in 1870 and is managed by the 5th generation of the family. The brand is international, very innovative and constantly adapts the range with the latest technologies and to the changing interests and demands of its customers. FERRINO is an outdoor and travel brand that manufactures products that outdoor fans can enjoy 360 days a year and enjoy nature.
Ferrino has a strong development department with a synergetic mix of experienced employees and young designers and engineers. They are all passionate outdoor athletes themselves. They develop and design most of the high-quality, durable product range themselves. Even today, some high-end products are still manufactured in the company's own production facility in Turin. With very strict and precise quality controls, the high standards in Italy and each of the worldwide production sites are met. The company has been UNI ISO 9001 certified since 1998.
Custom-made products - tailor-made products
For decades Ferrino has had the expertise and experience to develop individual products for special needs for expeditions or enterprises. In the 80's Ferrino produced special expedition tents for Reinhold Messners. For over 50 years, the traditional company has been supplying tents and accessories to international, governmental and humanitarian organisations. Among others for the United Nations, the International Red Cross and other international relief and refugee organisations.
Cooperation
Ferrino collaborates with selected mountaineers, expeditionists, scientists and professional associations. In Germany for example also with the German Ski Instructors Association. Suggestions for new or further product developments and the results of long-term tests are permanently incorporated into the collection in order to further improve it.
Responsibility
For FERRINO, animal welfare is a very important part of procurement. The origin of the down processed in our products corresponds to the principles of RDS certification (Responsible Down Standard Certified). These include criteria for species-appropriate keeping such as food and water quality, the possibility of free exercise, as well as the health and hygiene of the animals. The standard documents the entire production chain from the livestock farm to the end product, so that FERRINO customers can be sure that the down and feathers are truly RDS certified.
