Made in Austria - Komperdell poles have been produced in Austria since 1922. In 1983 the production was moved to the Mondsee, where still today 100 % of the poles are produced. In the past years there has been a lot of work on the development of new tube qualities and it is unbelievable that poles are still easier and smaller to fold, without having to accept losses in stiffness values. The main focus was on the carbon sector. The new high-tech carbon tubes made of 100 % carbon were developed especially for the trekking sector and have been adapted to it.
Carbon poles are lighter than aluminium poles and have higher stiffness values. In addition, carbon cannot corrode and the service life of the pole is extended many times over.
