In 1992, the AFH starts selling Australian textiles. At that time, these products were still relatively unknown in the European market. The steadily growing sales demanded 1993 the founding of a GmbH. Today, AFH supplies around 600 retailers in a wide variety of sectors. From outdoor shops to equestrian retailers to exclusive fashion shops. The AFH products embody the pioneering spirit of one of the youngest nations in the world. They stand for the wild and untamed beauty of the Down Under and are worn by people who are fashionably sophisticated and want to feel at home in their clothes. The products of AFH exclusively made of natural materials without using any syntetic materials. Already in the 18th century the history of oilskins began. On their route from England to Australia, sailors sewed clothes from oil-soaked canvas to protect themselves against the extreme weather conditions. Later, the Oilskins found a new job with the Australian stockmen (cattle drivers), who were also exposed to temperature fluctuations, wind and rain. The Oilskin products of AFH are breathable and weatherproof. They remain permanently soft, their wax layer does not break and they are absolutely easy to care. The design of the Oilskins has not changed for 100 years. The Scippis label is well known far beyond the borders of good old Germany and is especially appreciated by hat-wearers and horse riders.
